Gas Filter Correlation (GFC) CH4 Analyzer

Principle of Operation

The maximum absorption of carbon monoxide appears at 4.52μm wavelength in the absorption spectrum, for which an optical filter is specifically designed. As the absorption spectrum is not continuous, the optical filter is combined with a gas filter called correlation wheel, leading to a highly selective measurement of the gas to analyze by eliminating interference from gas whose absorption spectra is very close to CH4.
